    1. What kind of pressure medium?

     

    Viscous liquid and mud will block the pressure interface. Will solvents or corrosive substances damage the materials in the pressure sensor that are in direct contact with these media? These factors will determine whether to choose the direct isolation film and the material in direct contact with the medium.

     

    2. What kind of pressure should the pressure sensor measure?

     

    Firstly, determine the larger value of the measured pressure in the system. Generally speaking, it is necessary to choose a transmitter with a pressure range about 1.5 times larger than the larger value. This is mainly because in many systems, especially in water pressure measurement and processing, there are peaks and continuous irregular fluctuation, and this instantaneous peak can destroy the pressure sensor. Sustained high pressure value or slightly exceeding the calibrated value of the transmitter will shorten the life of the sensor, which will also reduce the accuracy. So a buffer can be used to reduce the pressure burr, but this will slow down the response speed of the sensor. Therefore, the pressure range, accuracy and stability should be fully considered when selecting the transmitter.

     

    3. How accurate is the pressure sensor?

     

    The accuracy is determined by nonlinearity, hysteresis, non-repeatability, temperature, zero offset scale and temperature. But it is mainly due to nonlinearity, hysteresis and non-repetition. The higher the accuracy, the higher the price.

     

    4. What kind of output signal do you need?

     

    The digital output of mV, V, mA and frequency depends on many factors, including the distance between the transmitter and the system controller or display, whether there are "noise" or other electronic interference signals, whether an amplifier is needed, and the position of the amplifier. For many OEM equipment with short distance between transmitter and controller, it is an economical and effective solution to adopt mA output transmitter.

     

    If it is necessary to amplify the output signal, a transmitter with built-in amplification can be used. MA level output or frequency output can be used for long-distance transmission or strong electronic interference signals.

     

    If in the environment with high RFI or EMI index, special protection or filter should be considered besides selecting mA or frequency output.
