    Product introduction

    1. What is a pressure sensor?

A pressure sensor is any device that detects the pressure exerted on it by a substance or body. The amount of pressure on the device can be quantified by its influence on the sensor. Sensors can be digital or analog, but in either way, they can send a reading signal of a specific pressure value to a remote location.

The word "sensor" is also a general and general term to some extent, including more specific equipment, such as transducers and transmitters. In other words, although all pressure transducers are sensors, not all pressure sensors are transducers. You can also refer to the measuring system components directly affected by pressure as "sensors", rather than the independent components of the system that convert this information into electronic signals.

    2. How does the pressure sensor work?

As an electromechanical device, the pressure sensor can detect and monitor the pressure in the fluid system by converting the physical force on the device into an electrical signal.

A complex pressure sensor is a part of a larger system, which not only reads the pressure level applied in the system, but is actually responsible for monitoring and controlling the system in response to the detected pressure level. With the change of pressure, the signal output of the sensor will also change. This may trigger controls configured to turn on, turn off or adjust the level of system components at some detected set points.

    3. What is a pressure transducer?

Pressure transducer is a kind of pressure sensor, which is composed of pressure sensitive element and signal conversion element. The transducer converts a low-level electrical signal from the input mechanical pressure (from gas or liquid) into a proportional voltage or milliampere output. "Transduction" means "transformation".

    4. What is the function of pressure transducer?

The transducer reads the pressure in the fluid system. Then, the voltage or current output of the transducer can be transmitted to a remote location for monitoring and informing the automatic or manual control of the system. Analog output types include: 4–20 mA, 0–5 VDC, 0–10 VDC, 1Vac or 0.333Vac. If you use digital pressure transducer (AKA pressure transmitter), more advanced electronic equipment can provide the function of sending signals through industrial communication protocols such as Modbus or BACnet.

    5. Dry and wet pressure transducers

A dry pressure transducer measures the pressure difference in a dry medium (such as air or gas pipeline system), while a wet medium pressure transducer will allow pressure sensing in a wet system (such as pipeline).
